I Assume You Know His Lawyer, Mr. Cohen . . .

I am still tying to post less frequently and be as succinct as possible (unless that's not a viable option), so I'll be brief about Michael Cohen's guilty plea to lying to the Senate Intelligence Committee bout a proposed Trump Tower in Moscow . . ..
It seems that Trump was ready to use his presidential candidacy to advance his own real estate deals, especially in his efforts to be a play-uh in Russia.  Since being a player in the Russian real estate market involves colluding with Russian leaders, it's easy to see why Cohen had lied when he said that Trump had ceased pursuing the deal in January 2016 when it actually ended five months later, and that Cohen had been in touch with a senior Russian official but lied about that too.
I once laughed at blaming the Russians for doing things like leaking Hillary Clinton's e-mails when Wikileaks was shown to have done that - now it turns out that Wikileaks, if not Trump himself, colluded with the Russians to destroy Hillary Clinton.  (This wouldn't have happened if Martin O'Malley were the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee!)  It's becoming clear that while the Russians may not have won the election for Trump, they were certainly hell-bent on having Trump in the White House so they could undermine American politics while giving Trump sweetheart real estate deals.
At this point, I do not support impeaching Trump, as there's no hard evidence that Trump himself has done anything wrong.  But I have a feeling it's coming soon.
I'd had something sarcastically witty to say about this, but I forgot what it was.  Never mind . . . this developing constitutional crisis is no laughing matter.
