The pipeline vote in the Senate failed. Fourteen Senate Democrats - several of whom won't be back in January - voted with the Republican caucus. This won't be the last of it, though; Republicans will try to push it through in 2015 once they take over the upper chamber, whether we dislike it or don't like it. :-O
