All Hail Captain Phillips

I hope everyone had a good Easter. As it is a holiday dedicated to renewal and new beginnings, it seems appropriate that Richard Phillips, the captain of the ship Maersk Alabama who was captured by pirates off the coast of Somalia, was rescued late today by Navy SEALS after five days in captivity. It seemed that the mighty U.S. Navy had been humbled by this ragtag gang of nautical outlaws, who came to resemble a swarm of mosquitoes bothering a helpless giant. But clever thinking and quick action brought the story to a happy ending for Phillips and his family.
A word to the wise: These pirates won't be deterred by this outcome. they'll be back. But for now, have a happy Easter, Captain Phillips.
