Presidential candidate John Edwards came out in favor of a universal health care program that he hopes will be the centerpiece of his campaign, doing so on NBC's Meet The Press this past Sunday. Asked by Tim Russert if he would raise taxes to pay for it, Edwards said he would have to, and added that the Bush tax cuts were destructive. It was a bold, refreshing show of honesty reminiscent of a famous politician I remember from the eighties . . . What was his name . . ..
Oh, right . . .
I predict trouble for Edwards ahead. :-O
