The Italian government collapsed for the 6,254,576,347th time since the Republic was founded in 1946 when Prime Minister Romano Prodi resigned in a dispute over Italy's role in sending troops to Afghanistan. This has been the greatest crisis to affect the Italian government since last Wednesday. But then what do you expect from the only country to change sides in both world wars?
I don't know what the Italian army is doing in Afghanistan anyway. The Italians couldn't even invade and occupy Greece when Mussolini was in charge. If the Greeks could beat them back, imagine what the Taliban could do! :-O
