Earlier this month I suggested that we could forget about presidential prospects from Virginia this year. Well, it turns out that former Virginia governor James Gilmore is running for the Republican presidential nomination. Still, I don't think that the next President will be a Virginian. James Gilmore will likely be identified outside his home state as either the guitarist from Pink Floyd or the father of Lorelai Gilmore on "The Gilmore Girls." Not good.
