Correction: December 26, 2006

Yesterday, I said that the open Senate seat in Tennessee was the only open seat in that chamber that did not go Democratic. In fact, the open seat in Vermont went to Socialist Bernard Sanders, though he, like outgoing Vermont independent senator James Jeffords, will vote with the Democrats in organizing the Senate of the 110th Congress. I, of course, regret the error.
