John Hall Yes, John Bolton No

Rock musician John Hall, the onetime frontman for Orleans, won the election for the U.S. House in his district! :-D The noted guitarist and singer, who plans to advocate wind energy (which he uses) in Washington, is also hoping to focus on health care and what to do about Iraq. And, although his district includes the Indian Point nuclear power plant, don't expect the Musicians United for Safe Energy alumnus to say yes to nukes. They have a name, by the way, for advocates of nuclear power to lessen dependence on Middle Eastern oil: French people! :-O

Meanwhile, John Bolton's renomination as ambassador to the United Nations appears to be toast. Good. He was even more of an embarrassment to the United States than the rest of the White House crowd. Get off the stage, Bolton, and take your moustache with you! :-p
