August is coming into the greater New York area breathing fire. Temperatures are expected to peak at over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit, with an excessive heat warning in effect from noon today to 5 P.M. Thursday. That's fifty-three straight hours of danegrously high temperatures. If you don't hear from me in the next few days, you'll know the weather has been doing a number - a number over hundred - on my Internet connection. :-O
