Former future President John Kerry undistiguished himself recently by suggesting that Israel would not have attacked southern Lebanon in its grudge match with Hezbollah had he won the White House in 2004. In one statement, Kerry, ironically known for nuance, demonstrated his inability to grasp the nuances of resentments and hatreds that have persisted in the Middle East since Kerry (like Bush) was still making gum marks on a silver baby spoon. Hezbollah and Israel aren't at each other's throats because of anything Bush did in Iraq, and much of the support Hezbollah is getting is coming from Iran and, to some degree, Syria.
In November 2004, Kerry only lost a presidential election. This month he lost his credibility. :-O
