I can't beleive it! George W. Bush took responsibility for the federal government's slow response to Hurricane Katrina! :-D :-O
On the other hand, in his address to the nation last night, Bush proposed spending lots of money on redeveloping the Gulf Coast without offering how to pay for it without taxes (except to say that cuts in other programs would be necessary), and he proposed new tax breaks for businesses to invest in the area. He also announced a new discovery of his: There are far too many poor people among America's black population.
If there was ever a great time for the Democrats to get their spines back and go after this President, this is it. >:-(
