Pope John Paul II - A Personal View (and RIP Prince Rainier III)

As millions say good bye to Pope John Paul II, I want to offer my thoughts. . . .
His strong moral stance on issues of human life - opposition to abortion and capital punishment - and his stand against violence and war (especially imperialistic wars like the one in Iraq) helped spread freedom and human dignity in Eastern Europe and elsewhere around the world. He will be missed by Catholics and non-Catholics alike.
Meanwhile, Monaco's Prince Rainier III, Europe's longest-reigning monarch and from all accounts are fine human being, died at 81.
