Tomorrow's Debate

Tomorrow's presidential debate promises to be a cliffhanger for those who wonder if John Kerry can manage to explain in twenty-five words or less (what is this, a radio show contest?) how he would handle Iraq differently from George W. Bush henceforth. Which is kind of ironic, considering that the debate's format - no addressing the opponent in the second person, staying behind the podium at all times - promises to take all the proverbial fireworks out of the debate itself. Well, if the format renders the first debate boring for anyone with a pulse, than Kerry should come out fine. And I say that with all the irony that implies.
Bush, on the other hand, should look good in the debate simply by showing up. :-O
I'm really starting to lose my idealism . . .
