The 2004 Democratic Convention

There have been some interesting speeches on this first night of the Democratic convention in Boston. Former Vice President Albert Gore's speech was filled with humor, and Jimmy Carter delivered a critique of Bush's foreign policy with just enough righteous indignation. The Clintons have yet to speak as I type. Of course, on MSNBC, Chris Matthews and his panel of "experts" are already suggesting how the Democrats will blow it in November, with the insufferable Joe Scarborough on hand to offer his two cents' worth!
