"The West Wing"'s Fifth-Season Finale

The fifth-season finale of "The West Wing" aired tonight, and it was pretty intense - probably the most gripping series finale in the show's history. President Bartlet had to deal with a stubborn Israeli prime minister and an isolated Palestinian leader in an effort to hunt down a terrorist operative personally responsible for killing several Americans and injuring a couple of others (including Donna, Josh's assistant) in Gaza and trying to figure out how to go after the perpetrator without opening another Pandora's box in the Middle East. Bartlett was plagued with self-doubt (unlike the real President, George W. Bush, who has no doubt in his mind - "no doubt at all" - about his Iraq policy), and the episode ended with him still figuring out what to do as he threw out the first baseball of the season. What happens next? Tune in again in September.
