Oh yeah, regarding "Ed" - Burt Reynolds played Mike's father in a Thanksgiving episode in which he tries to reconnect with Mike. You know, he's still a pretty good actor in spite of all those dumb car-chase movies he did back in his prime.
Meanwhile, Ed finally proposed to Carol. But Carol now lives in New York. Ed will have to leave Stuckeyville. How are the writers going to get the characters out of this one? Without Stuckeyville, there's no "Ed."
