So what did I do this past weekend? Well, my mom and I went apple-picking in the countryside on Saturday for the first time in our lives. We were so impressed with how firm and round these apples were, and how nice they looked in comparison to the (ugh) store-bought ones, we ended up picking nearly three dozen of them! Macouns, red delicious apples, some Cortlandts. . . lots of kinds. The cost thirteen dollars (at seventy-nine cents a pound), but they were worth it.
Yesterday I finally saw Spider-Man on video (call me a late bloomer), and it was better than I expected it to be. Five words for the writers and the casting director involved in the inevitable sequel: Jason Alexander as Doctor Octopus!
