Personal advice for all you news junkies -- avoid CNN's "Live From" afternoon show as much as possible! Despite its broadcast time, it's run like a morning news program, only without the cooking segments. Hosts Kyra Phillips and Miles O'Brien conduct lightweight interviews with oddball characters (like a Boston deejay who proimised to giver a T-shirt that read "I Survived Gigli" to anyone who could sit through all of the Ben Affleck-Jennifer Lopez movie bomb), run fluff stories that have nothing to do with what's going on, and - worse - make bad jokes and puns about said stories and characters. Phillips and O'Brien act and carry on even more cluelessly than a local morning news pair (imagine), laughing at their own schtick while taking unfunny e-mails from even more brain-dead viewers. No wonder Fox is doing better these days.
