Questions and Answers For My Readers

I've been at this blog for nearly six months now, and many of you probably have plenty of questions regarding who I am and what I'm about, so here are the questions I'm sure many of out there are dying to ask that I'm happy to answer:
Is Steven Maginnis really your name? Yes, it is. And as I tell everyone I meet, it's spelled pretty much like it sounds, but folks have a tendency to misspell it anyway.
Are you related to CNN weatherwoman Karen Maginnis? I'll have to get back to you on that.
Where do you live? I live in West Caldwell, New Jersey, a sleepy suburb just west of Newark. We have the distinction of giving the world flash-in-the-pan pop singer Tommy Page, as well as being the home of the oldest cucumber magnolia tree in the whole Garden State. Needless to say, we're much prouder of our tree.
Other than Family, whom you've already mentioned, what are your favorite bands? Obviously, I love the British Invasion's Big Three - the Beatles, the Stones, and the Who - as well as Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Band, and CSNY. But I also dig Zappa, Motown, Sam and Dave, Fairport Convention, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Graham Parker, and Steely Dan.
So have you found a radio station that satisfactorily encompasses your tastes? What a silly question!
What's your favorite episode of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show?" "Chuckles Bites the Dust," of course.
How did Chuckles the Clown die again? He went to the circus parade dressed as Peter Peanut, and an elephant tried to shell him.
What's the wisest statement you've ever heard? It's something the Reverend Jesse Jackson once said: "If you deal with text out of context, you have a pretext." That is, if someone takes the written word out of context, that person must have some kind of ulterior motive. It's something to watch out for these days - and it's happening all too frequently in the George W. White House.
We understand you are a writer. What have you written so far? I've composed two articles for the Beatles fan magazine Daytrippin', as well as my other Web page, and I should be getting my article on fitness trainer Leslie Ingram published soon. Something really big is coming soon.
Are you going to say what it is? No. not yet.
What kind of car do you drive, again? As the old slogan goes, "It's not a car. It's a Volkswagen." I have a 2000 Golf GL, which is a blast to drive even with an automatic transmission.
You mean you've never driven a stick shift? Does that surprise you?
Is Portia de Rossi really hot? Yes , she is! :-)
