Turkey has refused permission for the United States to deploy ground troops on its border with Iraq. Meanwhile, United Nations weapons inspectors appear to be making significant inroads in check Iraqi weapon stockpiles. And still the Dubyanistas want to wage a war in the Middle East. Arggh, I wish John McCain were President right now; what McCain forgot about war, Bush will never know!
U.S. Representative Howard Coble (R-NC) recently said that he believes that Franklin Roosevelt made the right decision by ordering the internment of Japanese- Americans during the Second World War, claiming it was "for their own protection" and that some of the internees meant to cause harm to the country. He and fellow cracker Trent Lott should both be arrested for indecent Southern exposure. (Did I happen to mention that Coble serves on the House Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security?) Anyone who's interested in getting rid of the bastard can sign this online petition. I already have.
As expected, Phil Donahue's misconceived talk show on MSNBC fianlly got cancelled; its final edition was last night. Phil's last guest was Rosie O'Donnell. Geez, even the late right-wing bastard Morton Downey, Jr. went out with more dignity!
