Grave Robbing

Here's the latest on the Francophobia in Washington; a Republican congresswoman has introduced legislation in the House of Representatives that will make it possible for families of the American servicemen killed storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day to liberate France that are now buried on the battlefield there to have the remains of their loved ones returned to the United States for reburial.

This comes less than 24 hours after a bill restricting partial-birth abortions - really a Trojan horse to limit abortion rights in general - passed the Senate. Never mind that this procedure is rarely used, and only then to save the life of the mother. Can someone please explain to me why Republicans are more interested in helping the unborn and the dead than doing anything to help the living?
