Fraudit

The results of the fraudulent election audit - or "fraudit" - in Arizona that began this spring with Republican pressure and conducted by a Trump-friendly company (called "Cyber Ninjas") is finally over, and it offers some shocking news about the results of the 2020 presidential election in Arizona.

Joe Biden won the state by an ever bigger margin that previously thought.

All Arizona Republicans did was waste people's time and tax money.

So that's it, right?  We finally understand that these so-called election audits are bogus?  Curb your enthusiasm, Sparky.  Donald Trump, in giving his blessing to this audit, got what he wanted by undermining people's confidence in elections and getting more Republicans to question the legitimacy of the elections, setting the stage for challenging more elections in the near future - mainly elections that produce preliminary results that are less than clear cut.

Don't believe me? A vote audit in Pennsylvania, where Republicans are demanding the personal information of voters,  is still going on.  And now a vote audit is scheduled to begin in Texas, a state Trump won.  Apparently he wasn't satisfied with his victory margin there.  He wanted to win Texas by more.

The results of the Arizona election audit treated a symptom of the problem with baseless accusations of voter fraud.  The disease goes merrily on.  To Trump's great satisfaction.
