The U.S. Northeast is getting more snow - and wind - today than Sochi can reasonably expect to get in the next week and change. At least in Sochi, they don't have to worry about any indoor events getting canceled because of the weather. Right now on MSNBC - curling!
And people are cheering, as if they actually found something exciting about it. :-D
Speaking of heavy favorites . . . Russian figure skaters Tatyana Volosozhar and Maksim Trankov went into the pairs figure skating finals the heavy favorites. They skated to the music of Jesus Christ Superstar. But they won the gold medal anyway.
And if anyone can explain to me the difference between pairs figure skating and ice dancing, they are more than welcome.
