I am trying to get away from sociopolitical commentary on this blog, because I've grown frustrated by it, but I have to say this about attacking Syria. It will accomplish nothing. It will not save lives, it will not scare Bashar al-Assad, and even a limited operation will risk drawing the United States into yet another Middle Eastern war, and another Asian civil war (Korea, Vietnam, et al. - and yes, Syria is in Asia, check your atlas). In short, it's a dumb idea. And that is all I have to say.
