Rain and Wind and Lightning, Oh . . . NO!

This time, the dreaded blackout I've been fearing all summer long may actually happen.
Every conceivable form of nasty summer weather - heavy rain, damaging winds, and cloud-to-ground lightning - is forecast to hit the East Coast Tuesday.  My area has a high wind watch in effect through Wednesday morning.  This could be similar to the nor'easter that hit my area in March 2010 and hit it hard.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this could be the kind of rainstorm that's so catastrophic, even bowling matches could get rained out.
So after tonight, I might not be around for awhile.  I know I've cried wolf before, but the storm that knocks me out as long as the October snowstorm of last year did could very well be tomorrow's.  Whenever I have a reason to fear the worst, I don't hesitate to share it with you because I don't want anyone wondering what happened to me.  If you don't hear from me again after tonight by Friday, the day I change my Music Video Of the Week, you'll know why.
I'm also thinking that if I write a post like this, nothing will happen . . . but that's just dum-dum superstition.
I'm getting sick of this.  This summer has been plagued with one severe storm after another, or at least the threat of severe weather.  My mother and I have been lucky so far, and I thought we were done with severe weather for awhile.  The latest forecast destroyed my illusions. This storm could destroy more than that.
I hope we get through this one all right.  I can't take much more of this.
And there's still winter to get through . . . maybe even another autumn snowstorm. :-O
