Justice For Trayvon Martin

This post is an act of protest.
I've been unable to participate in any of the demonstrations concerning the killing of black Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in the wake of the failure of local police to arrest his suspected killer, George Zimmerman, for the crime due to the law in Florida that allows armed citizens to shoot in self-defense if they believe they are being threatened.  That's why I'm featuring a picture of Trayvon Martin on my blog today, in addition to having signed a petition calling for Zimmerman's arrest.
As he was carrying only a bag of candy and wearing nothing more suspicion-arousing than a hoodie, Trayvon Martin was obviously a threat to no one.  No one, therefore, had any reason to shoot him.
Zimmerman should be arrested for the crime and prosecuted accordingly.
