Today is the first day of Ramadan, the Islamic moth of fasting. It is also the first Monday in August, which is a civic holiday in Canada, essentially allowing for a three-day midsummer weekend - informally known as the "August Long Weekend" - for our neighbors to the north.
Canadian Muslims must be having a bitch of a time trying to take advantage of their extra day off today! :-D
This is one of those silly thoughts I have when I need to write something on my blog for the day and I'm too frustrated to keep following a story like the debt crisis.
