I watched some excerpts form the health care "summit" hosted by President Obama at Blair House today. It was hard to believe that the Democrats and Republicans spent over seven hours hashing out their differences and then retreating to their previously stated positions.
Attention congressional Democrats: Will you pass something, please?
Watching this summit was by no means enlightening, and it was about as exciting as watching snow fall.
Which, alas, is what I've been doing today and will continue to do tomorrow.
We had a 150-minute power failure due to the weather today. Perhaps I should stop here, in case we get another one.
If you ask me, the real power failure happened in Washington.
