Tom Daschle is out even as Judd Gregg is in. President Obama finally got around to naming a Commerce Secretary, Republican Senator Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, only to see Tom Daschle bow out as the designated Secretary of Health of Human Services due to tax problems. We may have lost one of the best people to push meaningful health care reform through Congress, which given the fact that health care reform hasn't been achieved for forty years, isn't all that serious.
Meanwhile, Minnesota still hasn't settled its U.S. Senate election.
