MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski made me laugh yesterday, even though she didn't intend to make a joke. Ms. Brzezinski, likely unaware of Alaska governor Sarah Palin's atrocious hunting policies, said that so many Republicans have been blaming Palin for John McCain's loss to Barack Obama and saying so many uncharitable things about her that it appeared Palin was being "thrown to the wolves."
Well, that would certainly even the score!
Sometimes these jokes write themselves, folks.
Alas, George Walker Bush's attempt at an anti-environmental legacy is no laughing matter. He's trying to get permits established for uranium mining on federal land near Grand Canyon National Park!
Well, that's one way to discourage an overflow of park visitors . . .
Time for McCain to remember he's still a senator from Arizona and stand up against his President again.
