With the state of the stock market as it is now, it seems that there's no longer a guarantee of a brighter future in these United States of America, once seen as the land of opportunity and possibility but now flat broke and having mortgaged away any semblance of either. And now the Bush administration asks the taxpayers to trust them with a bailout of all of these financial institutions totaling $700 million, with no strings attached.
And John McCain, who once championed all of this financial deregulation, could still get elected President simply because his opponent is black?
My word . . .
