Denial

Even as Dick Cheney works to exempt the Central Intelligence Agency from a proposed anti-torture law on rather dubious grounds - spelling out rules for prisoner interrogation would somehow help al-Qaeda train its members to resist questioning - George W. Bush has insisted that Americans do not use torture. Kind of reminds me of the late Richard J. Daley insisting there is (note present tense) no segregation in Chicago. :-O
