It amazes me what my Internet provider sees as "news." I logged on this morning to check my e-mail, my provider's home page comes on offering the latest headlines, and two of them declare that Britney Spears is pregnant again (!) and that Kanye West is being sued over car payments. So soldiers and Marines are dying every day in Iraq, global warming could allow Alaska's Arctic coast to become the next Riviera, and this is what my Internet service sees as big news? It's almost as if they want to keep me ignorant of what matters . . .
Hey, wait a minute . . .
As I now recall, several Internet providers are apparently scheming to limit access to the World Wide Web. They're lobbying Congress to pass legislation that would make it easier for them to screen and select content and keep schmoes like me from starting blogs.
Anyway, did you hear the latest on Lindsay Lohan? :-p
