So George W. Bush has been having domestic telephone conversations recorded so the National Security Administration can look for patterns of terror plots. Even Republicans think he's gone too far this time. This telephone conversation database gaves ample opportunities for abuse; anyone critical of the government who says so on "the phone" in a casual conversation can be monitored, spied on, and, in cases of calls made by people of influence or importance, used for harrassment. Besides, terrorists aren't that stupid. They can use code words to disguise the intent of their conversations. In fact, they already have. Bet you didn't know that al-Qaeda referred to the World Trade Center as the "Faculty of Town Planning." :-O
